Johanna and Juan met salsa dancing in San Francisco in 1999. They married in 2003 and moved to St Louis, MO to begin their new life.

 Their work collaboration started when Johanna began to refer her interior design clients to Juan’s business for painting projects. Years later during covid layoffs, Johanna began going to work with Juan on his painting jobs and Cielo Painting & Design LLC was born.

Today, the company has relocated to the beautiful Southern Oregon Coast, back to Johanna’s birthplace and family roots.

Johanna is passionate about design and feels that color is like music – it can enhance interior and exterior spaces, completely transforming the overall ambiance and mood. When choosing a color, she consders the customer’s lifestyle and personal taste, as well as flooring, trim, fixtures and hardware to create the ideal environment where they will thrive. She also brings her design experience with color in various light sources to ensure that the color selected looks great from dawn til dusk.

Juan’s hallmark is his 100% focus and efficiency for every project from start to finish. His knowlege of various paints and finishes as well as contruction and building materials allow him to offer important and practical information to customize each project for the customer’s specific needs and budget.

He brings decades of experience and professional expertise to create quality results every time.
